4/29/08 And now for something completely different…...
First off...Congrats to Susie for delivering a sturdy solid black ram, Junior, with large horn buds!!!
Junior’s sire is, Phoenix, whose massive frame, thick, wide-curling horns, and masculine presence, combined with Susie’s wide strong horns, long straight back, and thick thel filled fleece, will give this ram some great genes and characteristics to pass along as a future herd sire.
In addition, it seems that Junior has two mommies!!!!!!
To read about Junior’s interesting life story (He’s only one day old) go here…. Junior’s Page!!
Junior is a solid Black and may carry Moorit and Spotting . If interested, please contact us to inquire about reserving this future stud.

4/30/08 Emma has another winner!!!
This colorful riot of spots greeted us the other morning. Long legged with a eye-catching spot pattern, this big guy was sired by Leonardo, our Blesa grandson leader ram.
Emma has produced some head turning lambs and she continues her trend with her 2008 lamb, Sylvester. Emma’s 2007 lamb, Rocky (also sired by Leonardo) has grown into a beefy ram with wide striped horns and incredible thick fleece. We expect Sylvester to follow in his hoof prints!!!
With Emma’s ample milk, Sylvester is sure to grow into his legs soon!! Check back for more pictures on the progress on this lamb, he has that certain aura and appeal that draws your eye...expect great things from this one!!
Sylvester is a spotted Black and carries Moorit. If interested, please contact us to inquire about reserving this promising prospect.
5/1/08 Schlemeel, Schlemazel, Hasenfeffer Incorporated!!! Making all Your Dreams Come True...its Laverne and Shirley!! (Darn...We watch way too many old TV sitcoms!!)
Dear old Montana comes through with the first set of ewe twins for 2008!!! With seemingly no effort, our matriarch delivered this rambunctious pair...long, legged with generously proportioned bodies, this is the first pair of ewe lambs, we have had that have significant horn buds at birth!!!
Their sire, Phoenix, with his long straight back, bulky build and wide curling horns, has given this pair some magnificent genes to build upon their dam’s Lassi-Bida family lines. With Montana’s ample milk and great mothering abilities, we expect these lasses to grow out to their full potential. Watch for more pictures, as these two grow into incredible head turning ewes for any breeding program.
Laverne is a solid Black and Shirley is a Black Mouflan. Both lambs carry Moorit and may carry Spotting . If interested, please contact us to reserve these gorgeous girls.
5/01/08 Muffy extends the ewe streak!!!!
Mouflan!! Mouflan !! Mouflan!!, Muffy continues to give us only the best!!!! From her son Homer, who is a stud now in Kentucky, to her son Toby, used as a stud on Thimbleberry Farm, to her two daughters Susie and Sadie, some of our favorite ewes, this ewe keeps “pumping out the winners” and this darling pair, Mona and Myrtle, sired by Phoenix, are no exception!!
Both ewe lambs have straight long legs and wide long bodies, an excellent combination from their parents best characteristics. Taking into account the remarkable, heavy fleece, plentiful milk, and passionate mothering ability of their dam, these big lambs will make an excellent addition to any spinners flock.
Muffy is one of our extremely friendly sheep, always coming up to demand a scratch or extra treat and her lambs always develop similar charming personality characteristics.
Mona and Myrtle are both Black Mouflans and may carry Moorit and Spotting. If interested, please contact us to reserve these endearing Mouflans.
